Dow Lohnes Serves as FCC Counsel in Sale of McGraw-Hill Broadcasting Group

On October 3, 2011,The McGraw-Hill Companies announced the sale of its nine-station Broadcasting Group to The E. W. Scripps Company for $212 million. Dow Lohnes served as FCC counsel to McGraw-Hill, a client of the firm since 2004. The transaction is the largest broadcast television deal of the year. McGraw-Hill is a leading global financial information and education company with brands including Standard & Poor’s and McGraw-Hill Education. Members on the Dow Lohnes team included partners Michael Basile, Kevin Latek and John Logan and associate Derek Teslik.
