Katie Wendel works with nonprofit and for-profit higher education institutions on a wide variety of regulatory and transactional work. She has particular expertise regarding issues that affect online education and has extensive knowledge of state laws affecting colleges and universities. She also has experience assisting schools maintain successful student exchange visitor programs. Katie regularly communicates with the U.S. Department of Education on behalf of clients to assist with Title IV issues as well as maintaining institutional eligibility with the Department.
In addition to her extensive regulatory work, Katie also represents higher education institutions and investors in the postsecondary sector with various transactional matters. She has experience working with state, federal, and accrediting agencies on behalf of numerous colleges and universities. Additionally, she assists many schools remain compliant with complex accreditation agency rules and standards. Katie’s enthusiasm for her work within the postsecondary education realm shines through in all aspects of her career.
Katie's favorite activity outside of the office is playing with and reading to her daughter, Nora Jayne. She also loves hosting parties for family and friends.
