Marshal Kline is a Senior Tax Specialist who joined Dow Lohnes Price Tax Consulting Group LLC in 2005 and became a Member in 2009.

Mr. Kline’s practice primarily consists of successful resolution of our clients’ state and local tax examinations and affirmative claims throughout the country. These examinations and affirmative claims encompass a broad range of issues including unitary/non-unitary, business/nonbusiness, nexus, apportionment, intercompany expenses and addbacks, filing positions, and matters including U.S. Constitutional rights and limitations. He is also involved with Internal Revenue Service controversies, transaction taxes, sales and use taxes, property taxes, and other tax planning matters.

Mr. Kline began his career with Ernst & Young in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1993, and in 1996 joined Deloitte and Touche in Greenville, South Carolina. In 1997, Mr. Kline accepted a position with Sterling Diagnostics, Inc. as a Federal Tax Specialist. Shortly after AGFA Corp.'s 1999 acquisition of Sterling, he was promoted to Federal Tax Manager responsible for all of AGFA's domestic and international federal tax reporting, merger and acquisition planning, and federal tax audits for its U.S. operations.

In 2001, Mr. Kline joined Exopack, LLC where he was solely responsible for all corporate taxes including federal income taxes, state income and franchise taxes, property taxes, and sales and use taxes. His responsibilities included financial statement reporting, transaction analysis, merger and acquisition planning, audit resolution, and tax incentive planning.
