Christopher Murray joined Dow Lohnes in 2005, and his practice focuses on the higher education industry. Mr. Murray routinely addresses the complex federal and state regulatory issues, including accreditation, that confront Dow Lohnes's postsecondary clients. In addition, Mr. Murray has completed regulatory due diligence for several transactions involving the sale of postsecondary institutions and has analyzed the impact of transnational regulations on postsecondary education.
Mr. Murray also represents non-profit community development organizations on a pro bono basis. Independent of his daily practice, Mr. Murray's legal interests include the continued evolution of Title IX and the governance of the International Olympic Committee.
Mr. Murray received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School where he was an Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. While at Vanderbilt, Mr. Murray spent a year working for local non-profit organizations in the Community and Economic Development Clinic. Following his first year of law school, Mr. Murray was a law clerk at the National Association of College and University Attorneys. Mr. Murray received his B.A. in Government and Theology from Georgetown University.
